Stars Foundation

Stars Foundation provides full-time, evidence-based mentoring support programs to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in secondary schools in the Northern Territory, Queensland and Victoria.

The Stars program is based around four important pillars of personal development – Healthy Lifestyles; Wellbeing; Education, Employment and Training; and Community Culture and Leadership. Stars offers a range of extracurricular activities based around these pillars, including sport and physical activities, art, music and dance. Community, cultural and volunteering activities are also provided to support the girls to build their confidence and give them opportunities for self-reflection and personal growth.

The Stars program has been operating at Nhulunbuy High School since 2015. We have a dedicated Stars Room staffed by two qualified, full-time Mentors who provide intensive support to our young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
